Mystic Peak
Despite the initial impression of this photograph suggesting a winter scene, it was actually captured at the end of May. The deep green evergreens in the foreground served as a visual anchor, almost a barrier to the rest of the image. I transformed the image into a black and white. I then brightened the trees to the extent that they resemble a snow-covered landscape. This, in my opinion, enhances the overall harmony of the image.

Wildfire smoke from neighboring states was so thick that it completely shrouded Mount Moran during daylight hours. However, during our drive back from dinner one evening, we encountered an unexpected delight. As the sun set behind the towering peak, its silhouette emerged, surrounded by vivid pink and orange hues. This breathtaking sight served as a comforting reminder: even amid adverse conditions, pure beauty could still emerge.
